Opinion of Sony 40" lcd

looks to be a great bargain.i bought a sony 40in kdl 40w2000 3 years ago in a tv shop for 2000euro and it is not even full hd 1080P. big mistake i should have bought it online. happy with the telly itself though, sony is a good make.
 
have one.love it.
i must be missing something in relation to all this hd stuff??

I have the previous Sony LCD models (37W5500) and its a top quality TV, so I am assuming this one would be as good if not better.

If you can get it for that crazy price, I say SNAP IT UP NOW.
 
A UK TV will not have an Irish channel tuner on it most likely.
This only a problem if you plan to connect an antenna directly, if you're using a Sky or UPC set top box, then you're fine.
 
Whats different between a UK and IRL tuner? Are you talking about Analog (VHF/UHF) or digital (DTT)?
 
Curry's are advertising a 42" LG TV (don't know if plasma or LCD) for €475, which seems to be a very good price.
 
Sort of on topic, I saw a sony bravia 32inch today in NI for stg300, It is Hd ready and all but I wonder if it is digital ready? also saw a Toshiba for same price which declared it is digital! Is it likely the sony is digital and is this/are these good prices? Slim
