Opening USD currency account

Is it possible to open a USD currency account (with IBAN) in Ireland or another EU bank that you are aware of? Transferwise doesn't offer Iban (only swift info) and revolut shows beneficier name as Lloyd's bank so it's a no go for me.

Revolut uses Lloyd bank's name as beneficiary when you want to receive money, so it won't work unfortunately.

USD accounts often do not have IBANs as they do not need to be SEPA complaint. Also, US payments normally go via an intermediary bank.

That said, I think a small number of USD accounts do use IBANs.

You could ring all the traditional Irish banks that offer USD accounts and ask. PTSB, BoI and AIB all offer USD accounts.
