Opening Accounts in Singapore

Hi guys,

I have too much cash in the one bank in Ireland and would like to spread my assets more. I was wondering how I would go about opening a bank account in Singapore, HongKong or anywhere else 'deemed' ideal to open a bank account?
I was looking at a HSBC type bank.

There are literally thousands of Banks in the region you have stated. Why don't you open an account in HSBC ?? They are Europe's largest Bank !
 
Do you want foreign currency accounts or Euro? If the latter, then surely Germany or the Netherlands would be more suitable if it's security you're after.
 
Sorry, choosing a bank is not really the issue.

How do I actually go about opening a bank in any of the suggested regions?

Surely the easiest way to do this, would be find which Bank you wish to use, and contact them to ask their account opening account procedures.
