Only in America?

Police in Wisconsin USA have busted 49-year-old Mary Strey for drunk-driving after she called 911 from her car to report herself. A partial transcript of the 911 call reads as follows:

Dispatcher: Clark County 911
Mary Strey: Somebody's really drunk driving down Granton Road...
Dispatcher: ...Which way are they going?
Mary Strey: They are going, um...
Dispatcher: Towards Granton or towards Neillsville?
Mary Strey: Towards Granton
Dispatcher: Okay are you behind them, or...
Mary Strey: No, I am them
Dispatcher: You am them?
Mary Strey: Yes, I am them
Dispatcher: Okay, so you want to call and report that you're driving drunk?
Mary Strey: Yes

Police say Ms. Strey pulled over when the dispatcher asked her to stop, and she was arrested after she failed a 'field sobriety test'. The full report from the arresting officer is here - (PDF download).

Having spent time in many local district courts I can safely say we have quite a few contenders for the title of chief loser here in Ireland too.

Her name, address, phone number, date of birth all perfectly accessible in one handy document wonder if she gets any phonecalls from admiring drunken nights out?
