Your opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

I play a bit of online poker on an American Poker site. I've made one transaction of $50 to activate my a/c and since then I've a accumulated a tidy enough sum. This transaction was made with a credit card and took 30 sec's at most. Recently the site has had problems with hackers and I decided to withdraw most of my a/c, as I honestly was becoming bored with it. The withdraw request was put on hold by the site as they want me to fill out 'the credit card authorization form'. Not a chance !! This is it ( edited to remove site name etc. ) Funny how they never asked for it when I opened my A/C

To verify a credit/debit card or apply for a limit increase, please complete the agreement below:
  1. For each credit/debit card used, enter the account information below and print the agreement.
  2. In the space provided at the bottom of the form, make an imprint of your credit/debit card by placing the card under the printed form and very lightly rubbing a pencil over the top. Applies to embossed cards only.
  3. Sign and date the bottom of the agreement.
  4. Fax the completed agreement along with:
    • A legible photocopy of your picture ID (e.g. Drivers License or Passport)
    • Photocopies of the front and back of your credit/debit card. Enlarge to 120% for best results.

I had to provide photo of CC & Passport for both Paddy power & Stan james. If its a trusted company, I'd have no problem. - Hotels do the same when they photgraph your passport & take swipe of CC.

They may be able to send a bank transfer with just a copy of Photo ID.

Thanks for that. I agree about the hotels part, but the problem I have is faxing such information. I suppose it comes down to trust and they are a well known site - Pitbull, but I may just pay for a transfer say through Western Union to avoid submitting what I think is way too much info.

Ring them or mail them to ask why they didnt ask for this when you were depositing and youre withdrawing to the same card?

If they fail to relent, Id never go near them again as it smacks of sharp practice to get you to leave the money in by making it difficult to take it out.

I had this recently with an online bookmakers, wanted to withdraw to same card I deposited from and got a similar request to you above, 2 emails and a phone call of me accusing them of underhand tactics to keep me from withdrwaing and I said Id never place a bet with them again, and they allowed the withdrawal.

That said, if it was a different card or WU, Id be unhappy if they didnt ask for verification.

I 'chatted' to one of their customer service agents on their 24/7 online chat. Like talking to the wall the wall to be honest. I have sent an e-mail to them a week back and to date have had no reply. I'm going to pay a fee to Western Union and close out my a/c. I've also posted a thread on one of their affiliated poker sites outlining my experience. Judging by the amount of posts in reply to the thread, they'd have been better of paying me off - as my experience has put off an awful lot of people who were thinking of opening an A/C:)

An American site??? I thought online gabling was illegal in the states.
I know a lot of them dont allow withdrawls to master card.
Have you tried just asking for a cheque?
