One room extension do I need an architect?

Extending my ground floor sitting room about 15ft by 12ft moving a patio door - 3 walls, getting plugs, radiator etc. Do I need an architecht for a such a basic extension - I know what I want. I asked an architect friend and he said for something so small I should be fine- any one else have other opinions?

Is your extension similar to a sunroom or a conservatory?

Asuming you don't need PP, then you probably won't need an architect. I added a sunroom 2 years ago and didn't need an architect.

no need for an architect if u know exactly what u want, also if u have a decent builder they should be able to do that with little worry.
