One parent allowance & part-time job

I am receiving One parent allowance and have started a part-time job which I earn below the €146.50.I know that the first €146.50 of weekly earnings is not taken into account but Do I need to inform One parent that I started a job.

yeah you do, just phone them, nothing will ne deducted but usually you need to inform them anyway.
 
Better still drop them a line(keep copy) so they can never say they were not informed. I find sometimes phone calls do not have the same effect.

I agree. Have it in writing in case of any disputes about not informing them!!
