There are many alternatives to Spotlight that are better depending on your usecase. Raycast is one that I came across recently that fills a lot of gaps in MacOs e.g. better window management and a ton of other features MacOs doesn't have.

It's not a feature of MacOs, you have to pay for it separately.
 
Just getting around to looking at Raycast now.

I downloaded & installed the freebie version 1.90.0 and I am back at school with the Walkthrough.

Thanks for the tip.
