One hours work?

I lost two days at work and I've been on part time Jobseekers allowance for several weeks, and have been filling out a yellow slip every week. My boss is thinking of having me work one hour in the mornings of the previously lost days. I make 9 euro an hour. Do I need to put this hour down as a full day on my slip (which would render the weeks payment void) Or is there some way to indicate that I only worked a single hour that day?

JB is not payable in respect of any day during which the person is engaged in employment, irrespective of the extent of the employment (number of hours worked) or the remuneration or profit. The only exception is if the work was outside your normal hours of work (subsidiary employment) and the amount earned is no more that €12.70 per day.

Thanks, I guess theres not much point in continuing to claim JB then.

Perhaps have a chat with your employer about the financial effect his request will have on you? Maybe there could be some way to reorganise the working hours by rolling them into one day?
