I suppose this is a social welfare question but I was wondering if anyone here could help as I wanted to find out some information for a friend of mine she is Polish and has being working in Ireland for over a year but her work has being reduced to just one day last week and this week she lives on her own and has her own flat which she pays rent for. She just received her p60 in work and I was wondering would she be entitled to sign now for the days she is missing from work or can she claim back any tax. Up untill Christmas she almost always got a full weeks work it's just in the last few weeks that the work has gone bad.
