Ok to work during dole application?

I applied for jobseekers 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting on word back. The place I used to work for had me for 3 days last week and maybe some more this week (covering staff holidays) but nothing after next week.

Should I ring the social welfare office and notify them of how many days I worked? How do I prove the days I worked?

You should get a letter from your employer stating the days you worked and bring it to your local office as soon as possible. They might send you a docket to declare the days you worked as well.

Got my 1st dole cheque today ok.

Rang office and declared what days I had worked and she said that was fine and next weeks pay would be discounted.
