Oil to Natural Gas Conversion

Hi, does anyone know how much it would cost to convert from an Oil Boiler to Natural Gas.. given there is a gas line. The house we are looking to buy is 35 years old and we feel this is a priority if we buy it. Thanks

I would estimate anywhere from around 2,500

I considered this conversion a good few years back....but decided against it and glad I did. Any reason why you want to convert?

We thought it would cost a lot more. The Oil burner is 35yrs old and needs to be replaced. Its also in the house. Main reasons to consider changing would be cost of oil, gas is cheaper from what we are reading, and also the oil burner is in the house so we think it might smell a bit too. Why did you decide not to convert?

at the time I was having problems with my oil burner. I was also buring more oil than I thought I should have, but I got the burner sorted and changed the way I controlled the oil thro a digital stat. I'm now glad I didn't change.

I also hate the idea of paying for "rental" of a gas line when its not being used
