Hi all, I had a car from work home the other night thats not running the best. Parked overnight and discovered the next morning that there are a number of oil stains on the cobblelock driveway. Any suggestions on how to remove these without damaging the driveway? Does anyone of a specialist product designed for this purpose?

I know there is a product I seen in a car parts shop that you spray on leave for 30 minutes and then wash off, can't remember the name of it but any car accessories shop should have it.

You can buy special degreasers but these can be expensive, I would suggest the following:
If the staining is heavy scatter some sawdust or cat litter (fuller's earth) over the affected area and leave overnight to soak up the bulk of the oil. Next day sweep up this and dispose of same. Then wash down the area with a strong solution of washing soda, using hot water. This should get rid of the bulk of the staining. Rinse off with cold water and see how it dries out. If you have to bring home work vehicles again stick a dustbin lid under the sump when the vehicle is parked up for the night.
