Oil or Gas?? How to get it changed from Oil to gas??

I am looking at buying a house which is currently has Oil Fired Central Heating. Ive always been used to Gas so would be interested in getting it changed over to gas. particularly as oil prices seem to be just going up and up. There is Gas in the area, so my question is does anyone know how difficult it is to get it changed to Gas, and is it a messy job. Also if someone knows roughly how much it might cost that would be great.

I change from oil to gas last oct, it cost 3500 and think it was 200 for the gas line. there wasn't too much mess involved really just the area where the boiler was installed. It took 1.5 days to complete once the gas line was installed but I did have to wait a number of week for Board Gais to instal the line.

Listed there are some gas boilers (excluding VAT prices). You'll be looking for a plumber then anything up €1000.
