Oil may be going down but petrol prices are not.
This weekend my local station when from 126.9 up to 127.9 and then there was another jump yesterday to 130.9.
In and around the Douglas area where I live in Cork City prices range from 125.9 up to 130.9.
In Ballincollig yesterday all the stations were charging 124.9.
Oil is trading at just over $93 a barrel on London markets with morning.
Chalk it down. Funny how quick everyone is to put up prices as the oil price rises, but there's no rush to get them back down now that oil is at a 5 month low. Our impotent energy regulator is one of the greatest offenders here. Fire him and hire a duck to do the job. At least that would save some tax euros.
