Oil Flow meter-minimum flow rate?

I am trying to source an oil flow meter to fit to a standard household oil tank. However different oil flow meters have minimum and maximum flow rates for example 10 to 30 litres per minute or 1-30 liters per minute. What would be the usual flow rate to a boiler, does anyone know? I asked my plumber but he doesn't know off the cuff without looking at the boiler and unfortunately I won't be at the house for the next few weeks and would like to order one before then.

it would be in the less than 1 litre per minute and even that would be quite high. The nozzle on a domestic burner will have written on it something like 4 to 6 lt per hr hour. Look up rs online for this sort of stuff. You can also for 20 euro get a elec run counter and once you know the flow rate (from nozzle) it is easily multipled.

Thanks David. Yes, I read the previous thread about the electric option but it didn't seem as though it was accurate. I also need one that is not resettable. I may have to wait to look at the boiler before ordering then.

A domestic burner will burn much less than one litre per minute. Something like this would be what you need : [broken link removed]

Thanks Davyjones-you're a star. That looks like exactly what I need- I really appreciate your help.
