Offshore Oil Worker Going Self Employed

Hi there, I am an offshore oil worker working in the UK sector of the North Sea. I am presently employed by a UK company and pay UK tax etc. I have the opportunity to form a Ltd Co in Ireland and continue working offshore and start a business in Ireland (My field is Telecomms and have been approached to do work here). As I am Irish resident, I assume I would pay Irish tax on all my worldwide income but as a director I could choose just how much to pay myself and my missus with the advantages of maximising tax allowances and putting away a lot in pension contributions. And claim certain expenses.
Am I missing anything that would allow me to do this.
