Hi

We have 4 staff now and 1 phone line , whats the cheapest way of setting up a system so that we can transfer calls.

Is it a ip system or some kind of hunting line. I am quite IT technical, i would like to do a DIY version myself.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest till you have more lines there is not much point investing in a system. Purchase 4 Dect phones, use the GAP protocol to tie them all to one base station . When line rings you can ring all four handsets - whomever answers can transfer between base stations. You can purchase this telephone system at any electrical store, without maintenance agreements etc.
