Office chair from Viking direct

Bit of a weird question, but did anyone else buy that black 'leatherish' office chair Viking direct were selling on the cheap a few years back? Mine has suddenly gone up of its own accord, my feet don't even touch the ground now when i'm sitting on it, and it's impossible to do any work on it. There's a lever at the side that i can pull in and out to get the chair back to lock, and that claims to let me go up and down aswell, but I can't get the chair to go back down.

Anyone got a similar chair and can get it to go up and down freely?

I have one that works fine...Its in a study at home so only gets occasional albeit daily use.

I've seen that same problem in a lot of office chairs. I think there might be a [broken link removed]and causes the problem.
