Offering below asking on a New-build ?

Hi,

Obviously you can offer anything on any property but I'm wondering what the accepted etiquette is here. Is there any chance that a lowball offer might be accepted on a new-build that has been languishing on the market for a long time, or is it a case of 'the price is the price' for new builds.

Normally I would say that there was no chance of a less than asking offer being accepted on a new build. If you get a reduced price, everyone will want the same. But then I am surprised that there is a new development languishing.

There could be other issues related to it, planning perhaps or judgments registered, as you say you can offer what you want to but why is it sitting so long is the real concern for you as I'd see it
