Off Site Storage for Files

We may need to put a large number of files into off site storage. Any recommendations for companies that I can call for quotes.

We are currently in Dublin West area.

I can't recommend as I don't know them, but Iron Mountain are also in Dublin West and they are a fairly large file storage company.

Would scanning them, storing the electronically and securely disposing of the original hard copies be an option? There are professional service providers who specialise in such electronic document storage and retrieval or you could look at it yourself depending on your IT knowledge/expertise and requirements.

We use Glenbeigh Records Management and I have found them to be a pleasure to deal with. Also one of the most reasonable to quote us.

Their website is www.grm.ie

(No affiliation just a happy customer)

Thanks for the suggestions. Will ring around. Boss a bit old fashioned and worried about scanning/etc, so would prefer files to go straight to storage.

Also, an awful lot of documentation to even think of scanning.

Will ring around anyway and see how I get on.

can I make a suggestion? if you have the space available on site, why not consider buying a 20 x 8' steel shipping container? we did this in our workplace.
They're dry, airtight, secure and accessible.
Cost us around E 1700 for a second hand one and another E 300+ for transport/delivery but at least it's a one off cost and not ongoing overhead.

Fireproof storage might be a requirement in some cases.

I have called Glenbeigh and they are going to call out to me, so will see how I get on!

thanks all

Another vote for Glenbeigh - they do such a service for many very large names and blue-chip brands - and they are good guys!

We use a crowd called DFS in Dunshaughlin who appear to be the cheapest, especially if you require some files in a hurry. They are used by many firms of solicitors and some large companies.Used to use Iron mountain but their costs were prohibitive. It is worth your while getting a load of quotes and then going for the one you feel best with.
