Hey

Anyone know of any occupational advisors ?

Friend is sick of their job and was advised to go to one of these

Having a 'mid life crises' and they dont know what job would suit them...

There is some guy I hear on the Q102 who offers advice anyone know who he is?

Anyone know of one & are they worth it ?

Cheers

I think if your friend is sick of her/his job, in principle it would be a good idea to get career advice.

Make sure they go to someone who is properly qualified (I dont know if there is any governing body on occupational advisers), because some are very unprofessional.
I went to one a few years ago, and in the middle of an expensive, serious conversation (to me anyway), he asked me out on a date! Couldnt believe it!. My sister went to a different adviser a couple of months ago, and incredibly, he asked her out to dinner aswell!
Not to say all career advisers are looking to improve their own social life, but do get references! :)

You could do worse then trying these guys www.pinpoint.ie I came across them when my former company was going through a number of redundancies. They were extremeley down to earth and were really easy to deal with. Any of my colleagues that dealt with them had nothing but praise for them. They also seemed to be reasonably priced.

They found out this place which was recommended

http://www.fortifyservices.com/

A guy called Rowan Manahan, he appears on Q102 during the week offering advice

Anyone ever go here ?

First session is free so they can evaluate to see if they can do anything

When they do go will give them a ring to see how they got on

Cheers
