i thought my partner had all this sorted out !!! but turns out not sure if we are getting relief on mort interest how would i know / find out? did we have to apply ?rang bank but soooooo unhelpful

Did you send a TRS1 form to the revenue? Full details at this [broken link removed].

There's a revenue TRS helpline at 1890 46 36 26

If you're getting TRS it should be visible in your current account as a reduced monthly payment or as an actual credit applied at the same time as the debit for the mortgage repayment.
 
From 04 TR at source should be given, and done by the banks, the bank will be able to tell you if there's tax relieft at source or not.
