The O2 website, www.o2.ie , has an offer at the moment for a Motorola L6i phone for €59 delivered. Includes €90 phone credit spread over 6 months, plus 6 months free DVD rental. I presume the DVD rental is with Screenclick.com as they provide the 1c DVD rental offer until end of December.
I've been using the 1c rental offer and average 1 DVD per week, so thats about 26 DVD's "rented" for free over 6 months, roughly about €140 in value in Xtravision.
Even if I throw the phone in the bin (I mean dispose of in an environmentally friendly way) and never use the credit it seems like a good deal. Unless of course I'm missing something!
It's Christmas and the competition is hotting up for the operators... All of the networks will be offering rock bottom prices on phones to get subscribers on to their networks - some are offering more credit, free dvd rentals, free texts, 1c texts and calls etc - competition in the market has worked for the consumer.
After sales is what is important as they are all offering the same offerings but you need some security if something goes wrong!
