Slightly unethical query this one - When applying for Nursing Home Subvention how economical with the truth can you be with regard to disclosing information on savings? I am aware (at least pre Budget 2005) the Subvention board will ignore amounts up to €7700. I know the board will look for recent bank statements as evidence. In the case where there could be multiple bank accounts (in the name of the person potentially requiring care) which in total would go significantly above this €7700 ceiling you were to provide information on only some of them do the board do their own investigations to attempt to seek out the remainder?

Hi Kellyj - It's not slightly unethical. It's unethical. You won't get advice on how to rip off compliant taxpayers round here. Thread closed.
