Nude Craze

Apologies to all for confusing the word don with doff. I usually associate the latter with ... doffing your hat...I suspect most people knew what i meant.

Since we're getting all Shakespeary, found this quote from King Lear,
perfectly descibes irish naked photoshoot on Sat...

If it's illegal to go nude in public how was this "art" allowed? I couldn't care less but what ****es me off is that "rules" can be broken just because someone calls it art.

If you or I stood naked on Grafton Street on our own and said it was a private "exhibition" we would get told where to go.
 
From what I read in the papers (and I averted my eyes from the pictures) they did it at about 5 o'clock in the morning so no one else was out to see them.
 
John Booman on Questions & Answers told Willie O'Dea that every tom, DICK & harry were there!!! Someone ask Willie O'Dea would he have taken part and he said he couldn't because he was in Chad. Thank God he was.

I heard that Willie took part in it. In fact, I believe many Willie's took part, from all over Dublin.

People started gathering from 10 pm, to take part in smaller group shots,
individuals chosen by Spencer T. however most people (2,500) gathered at about 2.30 am, and made their way down the pier, sun rose at app. 4.30 am, over Howth, most beautiful site. We doff'd our clothes at app. 5.30 am for about half hour, about 4 or 5 ferries went by, (passengers on board asleep) If they did see us they probably though they were dreaming! Best part was the surprise shot, (pic in papers) running into the sea. Most gruelling shot was lying down in a foetal position on the cold slabs of the east wall with 2500 other shivering bodies.
