Am considering getting phone service from NTL. Does anyone know if I can use standard handsets of the type sold as sets of 4 BT cordless handsets including answering m/c at Argos?
Also, will a burglar alarm with autodialling work with that combination?
Yes it will. They replace your modem with a new one, that has the phone ports on it rather than eircoms. so technically you would disconnect eircom from the wiring in your house, usually comes in the hall and then connect this box into it. It's a easy job.
