NR Demand Online Payment Request

Just wondering if anyone has ever used the payment request facility on this account? I had set up for a payment to go to my nominated account yeasterday (01/08/08) but it never went through. It had shown up in my "pending requests" up until Thursday (31/07/08) but then just disappeared. Now it doesn't show in my pending requests, the funds haven't left my NR account and haven't shown up in my nominated account. Lucky it wasn't a deadline payment I was making but it's a bit of a joke all the same.

Has anyone had trouble with this facility before?
 
I have used this many times and have never had a problem with it. It generally takes a few working days to go from NR to my PTSB account. Possibly quicker to other accounts (e.g. Halifax).
 
I've done a same day transfer a few times before and it worked fine, debited my NR account immediately and took a few days to credit the nominated account.

This time I had set up for a payment to go to my Anglo regular saver account for 01/08 (set it up a few days previous) but it still hasn't debited my NR account or credited my Anglo account. I'm reluctant to do the transfer again in case that transaction is still in the system somewhere and I don't want to risk sending 2 transactions into my Anglo account in the same month and breaching the terms. Disappointed in NR but I'll have to give them a call a Tuesday and get an explanation.

Are you attempting a transfer directly from your NR account to your Anglo regular saver specifying it as your nominated account or is this passing through your nominated current account along the way?

My Anglo regular saver account is my nominated account so the funds should go direct from NR to Anglo. I plan on using my NR Demand Online account to fund this account each month.
 
Has it been set up like that from the start or did you have a different account (your current account) originally set up as the nominated account? I've never really thought of the nominated account as being for anything other than one's main current account but I suppose it doesn't have to be. Does seem a bit unusual though. Still, if you've made manual transfers to the Anglo regular saver account before and they worked ok then setting up a payment in advance should work just the same too. I guess you'll just have to give them a call like you said to see what's up.

That's very strange isn't it? My transaction hasn't reappeared so I doubt it will at this stage. I didn't get a chance to ring NR today but will do tomorrow.
 
Just checked my account there and the transaction went through today (6th August). I don't like the fact that it's 5 days late and there's no indication as to whether it's still pending confirmation. Oh well it's done now.

Am I missing somewhere on the nr site where u can request a same day transfer? I couldn't see any option tonite to use that facility. Normally the 4 days is grand for me its just in case ever needed it
 
I required a same day transfer yesterday. I started completing a transfer request online - was awaiting seeing something come up about same day, nothing did by the end of the process - so telephoned them with the reference number. They upgraded it to same day for the usual fee. Funds were there by close of business.
