Notify insurance company that leaving car parked in Dublin airport long term carparks

Do you need to let you insurance company know that you leaving your car parked in Dublin airport long term car parks(away 10 days), when going abroad?

Thought that, but had heard of recent spate of cars getting damaged/broken into in Dublin airport long term car parks n thought that if were unfortunate for this to happen, that insurance company wouldn't pay out saying that should have notified them
