What happens if you refuse to accept redundancy on the grounds that it was not a genuine redundancy,
What happens next

I guess you will end up disputing the redundancy at [broken link removed]

And what do you mean by 'not accepting' ?

If you don't accept the money then you probably just won't get it!

Do you mean not accepting the idea?

You dont really have a choice, you are being redundant and thats it. You can appeal if you don't "accept" it, the company should have its own appeal process. You should talk to one of those companies who specialise in employment law.

If you feel that it is not a genuine redundancy, then you can claim unfair dismissal.

The Employer will have to prove that it is fair.

You do need to get professional advice on it.

You may accept the redundancy, and still take a case for unfair dismissal (unfair selection for redundancy).
