Hi
I had installed Norton Internet Security unto my laptop which I purchased from the Symantec website. Yesterday evening, it said that the 'auto-protect' option was not working. As I was trying to fix it, the Norton Security icon from my desktop has disappeared and is not in my recycle bin.
I contacted Symantec who told me to run a norton removal program and then install the product again. I did this but cannot install the product as the website does not recognise my order details. I emailed Symantec and am awaiting a reply but is there anything I can do in the meantime to get the Norton Internet Security up and running?
Thanks

Norton didn't work for me. If you have a cancellation period use it imo and download a freebe anti virus such as AVG mentioned several times on here or Avast that I have been using myself for years now. There are lots of other freebes in here too that might interest you. Also worth checking out helpful links for a clean pc imo.

FYI - Norton blocks a lot of internet pages, yahoo messagner etc, windows live

AVG is by far 100 times better
