Norton antivirus

I renewed my subscription over the weekend .now when I turn on computer I get I Virus alert telling me it is unable to remove it .when I run norton I get this message Error line 169.char 2.Error permission denied ,url res/c:\ prog\norton1\nav.dll\navstarts htm.Any help on how to fix this problem .Thanks

Thanksfor reply and have run live update as stated but still getting error messages just different line numbers etc ,will continue running it and see does it solve problem .Thanks again
