North Facing Wall

Hi,
I've just moved into my new house and the living room is north facing. I want to paint it a nice light colour to make it look airy and light. It's the darkest room in the house really. Any advice on what colours I should go for? Any advice welcome!
Thanks.

Something pale, creamy and timeless like Dulux Gardenia (another company do something silmilar called French White). I would never use magnolia again - did that once and had to repaint the entire room a few months later as I couldn't bear how it looked.

Thanks guys,
I can't do magnolia any more either! Just need something refreshing, thinking something creamy or lemony perhaps..

We had something similar in the last house - painted it "Lir" from the Dulux Heritage range, which worked very well, though it was a bit more into the yellow palette than we had expected.

If it's a very dark room (or you just like lots of light), it might also be worth considering a soft sheen / eggshell finish, which will reflect more of the ambient light back into the room.
