Non-resident account in the UK

Are there any tax implications if i open a Non-resident bank account in the UK? I plan on transfering about 15K Euro and leaving it there for a car purchase later in ther year, 2 - 3 months time. Could someone recommend a bank that will do this easily?

as long as you declare interest to Irish authorities, there is no problem. They might want to know if the money was legit, that is not hot money!

secondly, let us know if you are able to open account. from previous posts, it seems difficult.
