Non-receipt of goods - Recourse?

Apologies in advance if I'm not posting in the correct area, but would really appreciate some views.

I recently used an on-line ticket broker to purchase tickets for a concert. I didn't receive any tickets, but the company did extract payment from my credit card.

I'm now aware that I've been the victim of a scam (after researching the particular company) but unfortunately thought everything was above board at the time. The company's registered office is in the EU.

My question is - as these tickets were purchased on my credit card, can I report this as effective fraud to my credit card company and obtain a refund of monies?

Obviously, my credit card company are best placed to answer this, but just wanted to run this by the forum to see if anyone has been in this situation in the past. If so, there may be some past experience here that could strengthen any case I make to my bank.

Many thanks

JP

Contact your CC company ASAP and report the incident. They should sort it out in the case of payment for goods/services not delivered.
