Non Irish Produce in mega retailers

I was shocked this week when I went into both Tescos and M&S to see so many shelves empty. Of course it is as a result of Foot and Mouth restrictions.

So many meat products things I would have popped in my basket without thinking about their source.

Does anyone remember what happened in the last outbreak. Were they forced to source Irish producers?

thinking the same as i was shopping this week. went to tescos and missed out on a few things so went to Supervalue and the did not seem so affected.

Don't forget that there FMD was present in Ireland at the time too!
