Hi there,

I understand that if a Non EU National decides to reside in Ireland and work.. they are given an ID/Permit...they are also provided with a Stamp rating from 1 to 4...

Can anybody clarify what each of the individual stamps mean?

And will any of the prime lenders accept anything less then a Stamp 4 for mortgage purposes?

Does anyone know a website that can explain these stamps in detail?

All input appreciated.

? I can't find anything about any "stamp rating". Unless you mean this? For what it's worth a Russian couple who I know (married with two Irish born kids now as it happens) had no problem getting a mortgage with a regular lender a few years ago.

*I think* Stamp 1 is a work permit for a specific company, Stamp 2 (or is it 3?) is something to do with education and Stamp 4 allows the person to work/live here permanently and apply for cizitenship. For mortgage purposes only people with Stamp 4 income will be taken into account. I'm sure someone will be able to fill in the gaps!

Hi Clubman thanks for your reply.

Most Prime lenders will not entertain any non nationals unless they have a stamp/id rating 4...

Combination of living and working in Ireland for a certain period of time...

Unsure on how it works.....

Checked out Oasis but was not able to find any information.
