Non domicile - stamp duty payable?

If a property is bought(mortgage) equally between a couple, and one person lives abroad for a couple of years (working etc, ) whilst the other remains in the new property. Is stamp duty payable? Appreciate any help with this.

Stamp duty has nothing to do with domicile. If a property is bought here and stamp duty is payable ( and it might not be if e.g. the property is a new property and is a PPR), the domicile of one owner is irrelevant.
