non contributory state pension - what happens if you move to the UK?

Would anyone know what is likely to happen in the event of an elderly female relocating to the UK to live with family, would she lose her Irish non contributory state pension which is her only income?. Thank you.
 
The pension would cease, as non-contributory state pension is not payable to persons living outside Ireland.

The lady would have to make an application for an equivalent UK pension.
