Nokia Phone - Setting Time and Date of Texts

I have a new Nokia phone- a 6300, I think. The time and date don't appear with texts in the Inbox. I can find them in another part of the phone but I have to go all around the world to do so. Can anyone tell me how to set up time and date in the Inbox?

And I'm a man so reading the manual is out of the question.

When you're "in" the text message, press OPTIONS and scroll down to MESSAGE DETAILS. You can then scroll down through the various details included in that screen.

In the INBOX, scroll to the message you want, press "Open" and scroll up.

"Back" takes you back to the INBOX.

Is that what you mean or do you want the messages in the list in the INBOX date and time stamped?
