Can anyone advise - I got a nokia 3510 from a friend who upgraded her phone. I inserted my SIM into it. Now up until yesterday, I could make and receive calls, now I can only send and receive texts. When you call the number or make a call out - you get an engaged type tone. Anyone ideas or both of us are with vodafone - does something have to be unblocked or unlocked or what????
 
best thing to do is to ring there helpline 1850 208787.
 

Sounds more like a temporary network glitch to me - I have experienced a lot of this sort of thing of late in Dublin city centre on Vodafone - can't make calls, can't send texts. Problem then goes away later.

If the phone worked with your SIM at first, I can't see any reason why it would suddenly become locked.
