Nokia 2626

I have just bought a Nokia 2626 and can't get back to the shops again for at least a week. The problem is that the screen goes blank / black after 15 seconds if I don't touch a key...is this normal? I have gone into settings and done all the obvious stuff like turning off (and then on) the screen saver, power saver and time-off functions. Once I touch a key then the usual standby screen comes up.

Is there any way to stop the display turning itself off?

Sounds like screensaver/power save mode to be honest. If you press a key does the display light up as normal? If yes then phone is ok. This is standard on newer Nokia phones.

Thanks for the reply leex. yes, when I press any key the dislay lights up as normal. Sounds like it is working ok but just a new thing for Nokia phones, I'll just have to get used to it!

Maybe be configurable - check the phone's menu/manual.
