Have an oil central heating system

Boiler is a rated Firebird about 2 years old and was services before the winter

The timer has seperate controls for controlling heating water and storage(rads) seperately or having them on at same time

When you turn the storage(rad) heating on or the timer clicks in to turn the heating on there is gurgling like water running through pipes that can be heard around the house in the different rooms

It lasts for min or 2 and then stops and then when heating is on about 3-4 mins it happens again for a few mins and thats it - you dont hear it again for rest of time the storage heating is on.

It sounds like if there was water or air lying in the pipes that is starting to move when the heating clicks in.

There arent any aid locks in the rads and the system i have been told has vents/valves on it to auto release airlocks/air

You dont need alarm clock in the mornings as when heating cuts in - the noise wakes you up

When the water heating is on, on its own too you can hear sound of like water gurgling or racing through pipes up in the attic -

Thoughts/sugestions?
Thanks

It sounds like your system is pitching. Turn on the heating, go into the attic and see if there is water coming out of the "hockey stick" shaped pipe that is over your feed & expansion tank (small tank) in the attic.

If so you will need to resolve this as it will eventually rust your boiler & radiators from the inside out.

Is it a sealed or open vented system? With the heating off try slackening the brass cap on the end of the circulation pump to bleed out the air. It's hard to help you without knowing what type of system it is.
