No water from electric shower

Our water has been shutt off most evenings from 7 pm to 7am next day. Weekends 9pm to 9 am (though that is close to 11 am when it comes back).

This morning and all day today no water is coming out of the electric shower when we turn it on - is this to do with the water restrictions or do we have a problem with our shower? It worked perfectly well yesterday & all last week when the water restrictions were the same.

Thanks

if you used alot of water from your tank overnight you may have sucked up some dirt or sludge from the bottom of the tank and it's become blocked in the inlet pipe
this some times happens when the water is turned back on.
is there a filter in the shower that can be cleaned easily?

If the shower is connected direct to mains, as in bungalow, then perhaps the 'in' pipe under the ground is frozen.

try a few times during the day, but not for long, lest the pipe still be frozen and you burn out the pump.

its a Mira Elite shower so I think we will have to remove cover to clean filter - will give it a go anyway. Water off at the moment so will see whapt happens when it comes back on. thanks for replies

My shower didn't work this morning after the very cold (-7 degrees) night. I opened the attic hatch and blasted the heat on and after about an hour and a half it started working again. (Good advice about protecting the motor by only turning it on for short bursts while the water isn't flowing)

Had the same problem this morning, did exactly what dubgem did and it is working in the evening. Tank is well insulated on the surround but the water had a thin layer of ice on the top.

Electric shower is connected to the mains in my house, if water is off shower will be off of course. Not much can do about frozen main, stuck with no water the last week, nightmare...
