No Signal on Sat. Dish????

I lost my siganl on my Lidl Satelite Dish today. How do I know if it's movement of the dish or a general loss in the area? I don't really want to go through the hassel of retuning the dish if I can help it. I'm in the Mid-West, is anyone else has a similar problem?

Did you try unplugging sat receiver from mains and reconnecting?

Sometimes works for mine.

Unlike regular terrestrial TV, satellite transmissions do not usually have interuptions. Remember your little dish is pointed up at a satellite which is beaming signals to all over Europe. Check your connections and if that fails, including the switching off and on of the receiver, I'm afraid it is the dreaded alignment of the dish. However take it easy as the dish is nearly correct and will only need the slightest of adjustments. (Assuming of course that nobody has hit it with a football or worse). Good luck!!

Thanks for your replies, nothing simple, Mr H had to re-align the dish. It didn't take that long though.
