No back boiler, would the pipework be there

Hi

We were told recently its common for a plumber to put in the pipework for a back boiler even if one isnt going in. The house was built 1999/2000.

Has anyone gone to put in a stove/BB and had the pipework already there?

It is possible but unlikely that the pipework is there but you would have to open the chimney breast and have a look. If you are thinking of a dual system the pipes would not necessarily be compatible with the existing system.

Yeh it sounded odd to me that a plumber would put the pipes in even if no boiler was planned
