Not sure if this should go into the Car Forum? The query is in relation to the radio in the car rather than the car itself.
I've a car radio which picks up FM signals pretty good in the city but when I'm driving down the country the reception is pretty so so . However, I can't pick up any AM or LW channels on the radio. The radio its self is a Blaukpunt(sp?) with RDS and an external aerial on the front wing of the car. The poor reception could be down to a dodgy ariel but I'm not sure how to check this. Also, if the aerial had to be replaced it looks like a very messy job, so I'm wondering if there is some sort of aerial you could connect up to the radio but have in the car itself.
