what do people think of this I need a seven seater (fourth baby arrived) and can really see myself in a MPV - the pros are it seems:

€47000 - €50000 for a seven seater (do I really need leather and siderails)

nissan reliability and three year warranty - will run this baby up to 100k miles

30mpg and 11sec 0-60 - frugal and safe overtaking for a two tonne tank

safety bags everywhere - 4*ncap - only got slated for the knees - need to roll the driver seat back a bit then - then again inertia is on my side...

2.5 litre dci diesel - will run this baby up to 100k miles and then sell on

six year old seven seat patrols with 100k get €20k if in good nick - possible low depreciation

yeah I know the road tax is €900 approx , but my insurance is low now.

PS why is the xtreme €10k lower than an equivalent pre-extreme spec on??

That would be because it is a 5 seater. The 7 seater comes in between 60 and 70k. Sorry! But it is a really good engine. 174bhp! best in class I think, beats lumps out of the Hi-Lux anywho.

Direct from the Nissan website...

XTREME 5 SEATER - FROM €44,000 INCLUDING METALLIC PAINT
XTREME PLUS 7 SEATER - €46,495*
XTREME ELEGANCE 7 SEATER (INCLUDING FULL LEATER INTERIOR) - €49,795*

I too am wondering why they're suddenly so much cheaper, but at that price they seem to offer good value, they are HUGE though, don't fancy trying to find parking around town for one. I'd say buy one!

My mistake. That is pretty good. Nissan just knocked the the 350z from 65,000 to 55,000 last year. Nissan Japan had been using pan-european prices but I think they knocked a bit off the metal value to account for Irelands high VRT. Nissan Ireland are mad for market share. Hence the double take deal.
