Nice Heavy duty Wrought Iron gates - general price

Hi There,

I need some advice on wrought iron gates.

The entrance is 14 foot (4.2 metre) with sandstone piers (6ft high & 2Ft square approx). I wanted to put a heavy duty wrought iron gate with the nice painted finish and simple enough design probably slightly curved on top.

What price would I expect to pay in the Border Midland area ?

We had an iron gate made up to our design - fairly simple one - the gate is about 15ft wide but only 3.5 ft high and cost 1100 euro.
The same man did a neighbour's taller gate for about 1400. We are in Roscommon so I think prices may be similar to yours - depends on the competition locally. I had a couple of prices and they were all similar enough. Get them to show you other gates they have installed.
