Nice Budget Hotel - Dublin Southside ?

I''m wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a budget hotel in the Stillorgan, Blackrock, Mount Merrion areas ? Is there a middle option between B+Bs and 4 Star hotels ?

My sister and her husband got a good deal -not sure how much but remember thinking it was good - in the Beacon Hotel in Sandyford recently. They were very impressed, with the exception of the pillows which they felt did not give their heads enough support.
